Humbug:
In the course of my work, I frequently stay over Saturday night at the
Guywood B&B in London Road, Newbury. They do a smashing home-cooked
breakfast including eggs, bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, orange juice,
tea or coffee, and as much toast as you want with butter and a comprehensive
choice of marmalde, jam etc.
They also have a selection of cereals. Last weekend, I noticed that they had
individually packaged Weetabix. Never having experienced this celebrated
British Breakfast comestible, I decided to give one a try.
I now know that the resemblance between Weetabix and offcuts of low-density
chipboard is more than superficial.
Thank goodness for the proper fare which followed!
